BIRTH

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

time or hour?

As with many things in life, we cannot know the time nor hour that your baby will come.

Closer to the end of your pregnancy, you will come in weekly for checkups. Even with those, there is no way to tell when your baby will be here. At these visits, we will discuss signs of labour and when you should call me, and if you are unsure of anything, I am only a phone call away.

tHE BIRTH SPACE

Your environment plays a vital role in the rhythm of labour. Whether you choose a water birth or the comfort of your bed, my goal is to protect your "birth bubble." We will work together to ensure your surroundings feel safe, dim, and quiet, allowing your body to do exactly what it was designed to do.

trusting the process

Birth is not a medical event to be managed, but a physiological process to be supported. I am there to monitor the safety of both you and your baby with a watchful but gentle eye. By staying patient and trusting your body’s unique timing, we create the space for a rewarding and empowered entry into parenthood.

after the arrival

The moments immediately following birth are sacred. We prioritize "The Golden Hour"—uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact to help your baby regulate their temperature and begin their journey. I remain by your side during these initial hours to ensure you are comfortable, well-fed, and settling in peacefully with your new addition.
